Trip Summary Dates: November 2024 (2 weeks) Guests: 2 adults, 1 child (4 years old) Accommodation: Larger guest room, ground floor, Building 3 Package: All-inclusive Notes: We stayed in the resort the full 2 weeks and never ventured out. Room & Property We were very pleased with the renovated room, which met Western standards for a 2024 Marriott. The cleaning staff was exceptional. While Building 3 is farther from the main areas, the all-inclusive package made the extra steps worthwhile. Plus, the walk to the room was enjoyable, passing the waterfall and butterfly sanctuary. Room Cons -Mouthwash was no longer included in the toiletries. -Building 3 lacks sunlight, making it difficult to dry clothes on the balcony. The muddy, mossy grass near the pool discouraged us from using the shortcut. -Building 1 offers better sunlight but has dimly lit enclosed hallways, resembling a basement. We still recommend Building 3 for its overall ambiance. Food & Beverage We highly recommend the all-inclusive package for those seeking a relaxing stay without venturing outside the hotel. The diverse food and drink offerings were consistently excellent, with each restaurant providing a unique dining experience. While the repeated meals towards the end of our trip became somewhat predictable, the overall value and convenience of the all-inclusive package made it a worthwhile choice for a stress-free vacation. Facilities The hotel's facilities were fantastic, especially for families. The pools were great and the kids' club was a hit, offering a wide range of activities from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM. The staff at the kids' club were wonderful and kept the little ones entertained. Cons: -Butterfly Sanctuary: Unfortunately, the butterfly sanctuary was a bit underwhelming. -Beach: The beach wasn't ideal for kids, as it had a lot of dead coral. Overall Review: 5/5 Our family had a fantastic and relaxing vacation, and the cost of 9,000 AUD was well worth it.

Second family stay after a year. Excellent family hotel. Very good staffs. We will go again. Big thank you to: - Mr Pete from front desk who gave us a very warm welcome. My son named the Marriott bear you gave him “Pete The Bear.” :) He loves it. - The housekeeping team who always make sure our room was always neat and comfortable and attended all our requests including Ms. Phaeva who left some nice welcome notes for us. Not to forget Ms May and the rest of the housekeeping team. - Ms Erin from restaurant always comes to greet us with a genuine smile. She rocks! - Mr Sun from the pool remember us from our stay last year and always come to engage with my little boy. Such a great guy. - Ms. Tangmo and Ms. Nok from the restaurant who surprised us with a special cake the night before checkout. We were touched. - Ms. Summer from front desk who we remember from last year checkin. Always a pleasure to deal with her. - The kids club staff who always took great care of my son. - Last but not least. The whole staff who we didn’t mention. We know it takes a whole team to make it all possible. THANK YOU! (Room 3402. October 6-11 2024)

We can’t praise the Marriott Merlin Beach highly enough. Everything was perfect, from the rooms and housekeeping, to the restaurants, the pools and facilities. They thought of everything and there were so many nice unexpected little extra touches, like afternoon ice cream for the children or slices of watermelon brought to people relaxing by the pool, a surprise birthday cake and balloons delivered to our room. The kids club activities were super and all the staff were fabulous; so patient, polite, kind and thoughtful. It really was fabulous. Thank you to everyone at Marriott. And an extra thank you to Nene at Thai Pantry for how she looked after my mum and together with her colleagues made my son’s birthday special, and also to the whole team at Merchant Kitchen who were unfailingly brilliant.

Breakfast was great so much to choose from they have two restaurants to have breakfast one has a bit more variety than the other pools are great you have a swim up bar on one side and kids slide and activities on the other they have kids club which is good and do a variety of things from making there own pizzas to ice cream they do have a shuttle that can take you into Patong beach 10-15 minutes out depending on traffic also have their own beach can swim at or go snorkelling over the reef they do have equipment to borrow if you haven’t brought your own staff were good but some didn’t understand what you were saying

Vicki

1. Not in Patong Beach area (thus no noise or traffic), but you can reach to/from there by a taxi or TokTok (THB 250-300), or book free shuttle service in advance. 2. Has its own beach (although rocky and you can’t swim). 3. Rooms have full amenities you need, with very comfortable beds and sheets. 4. Very nice free-shape swimming pool with designated area for kids.
